Hello friends and family!
I know I'm not alone in feeling like the world is an overwhelming place to be sometimes. It can be hard to feel like there's anything you can actually do to change things for the better - hard, sometimes, to even figure out where to start.
Here's something: support the Elizabeth Stone House. The Stone House provides counseling, housing services, parenting classes, financial education, emergency housing for victims of domestic violence, and transitional housing to women and families who are homeless or at-risk. They're local, and they do amazing work for our community. Supporting them is good for the world.
This is my second summer participating in the 3-day hike that is the Stone House's major fundraiser for the year. I'm so grateful for any amount you're able to give - I've committed to raising $1,500 for this incredible organization, and any donation will get me closer to my goal. Most importantly, it will make a big difference for the women and families who rely on the Stone House for support and services in some of their hardest moments.
